Da'aro Youth Project wins Pro Bono and Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year Award 2025
We are still buzzing from winning the ‘Pro Bono and Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year Award’ awarded by Advocate!
Da’aro Youth Project was named as ‘working tirelessly to ensure that young vulnerable people pursuing safety in the UK are adequately and effectively supported, and that they do not slip through the gaps in the asylum system. The initiative offers open-door opportunities for young people seeking help in not just their legal cases, but also in housing, education, learning English and physical and mental health support. The team works alongside barristers, solicitors and other expert legal representatives to ensure that unaccompanied refugees can access the vital support and resources they need to be able to access safety and live a fulfilling life.’
We feel incredibly blessed that our work has been recognised by Advocate and the Chambers Pro Bono Framework in this way, and would like to congratulate the other fantastic shortlisted charities for being nominated for this award: Beyond Detention, Schools Inclusion Project, Innocence Project London, and Family BarLink.
